Voters in New York’s 3rd Congressional District head to the polls today for a special election between former Rep. Tom Suozzi, a Democrat, and Republican Mazi Pilip. The winner will replace disgraced rep George Santos. Stormy conditions are expected to impact voter turnout complicating an exceedingly close race.

Last week, our company was hired by the Carpenter Union (NASRCC North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters) – representing carpenters in New York State – to photograph a rally in the Long Island district.   There was a crowd of 500 rank and file carpenters gathered to hear candidate Tom Suozzi and prominent Union Leaders Joe Byrne, Executive Secretary-Treasurer, NASRCC, Joe Geiger, Executive Secretary-Treasurer, NYCDCC, Doug McCarron, General President of UBC.

We captured images and video clips for social media at The Sterling Inn.  After the rally, we followed several small groups for some door knocking in the immediate area. Video and photos below.
