It is always thrilling for us as professional wedding photographers to be invited into some one’s life for a day to celebrate one of the best days of their lives. Being able to still do this through a pandemic is even more rewarding.
Sure, there are a lot of downsides to the pandemic but through all the sickness, loss and crazy world going on…couples are not holding back. #loveisntcancelled
Danielle and David have a unique love story because the groom and his daughter both fell in love with the bride! They have been dating for a few years and did not want to wait to be married. The Pearl River Hilton was finally allowed in September to host small events. This couple had the difficult task of cutting their list down to 50 guests including the photographer!!! We made the cut! Ha.
The moment Sarah Merians entered the family home, Danielle’s dad showed her his handkerchief gift from his daughter. That about sums up what many brides have been going through since March. This couple’s original wedding date was June 13th, 2020. They moved their wedding to September 25th, and they were so lucky because the weather was picture perfect that day, and the fall foliage amazing.
Every wedding is full of love as two people become one and this couple has twice the love! Davis has a seven-year-old daughter. We love how David’s daughter grabbed her dad’s hand and walked back down the aisle with her new stepmom and dad as a family. The guests were all waiting with masks on in the parking lot to throw bird seeds at the new family before heading off to the party.
Pearl River Hilton is one of our favorite wedding venues as it has wonderful outdoor space with a cool bridge and willow tree. This day the fall colors were like an oil painting background for Sarah as she painted their day through her camera lens. All 50 guests had the best cocktail hour outside as it was a great reprieve from all the mask wearing at church.
The guests headed inside for a celebration and the rest is history! We are so happy for this new family.
