Simcha Summer has officially begun! Now that the kids are off to camp, we will be reserving Mondays as a day dedicated to Mitzvah trends, photos and unique ideas!
Today’s post for the day? Olivia’s Bat Mitzvah.
It started with a visit to the studio when our photographer Jamie snapped photos of Olivia in three different, but all equally fun outfits. One of these great photos was used as a sign in board for guests at Olivia’s party!
Olivia, the baby girl of the family, read the Torah like a champ. After attending a beautiful Havdalah service at Temple Emmanu-El, Olivia’s friends and family headed east to Park Avenue , # 583 to be exact, for a PARTY! Lulu’s Land of Adventure was the theme and Lulu, Olivia’s nickname , was everywhere from accent pillows to the color-coordinated napkins and plasma screens. This Willy Wonka wonderland, conceived and designed by Pat Glenn Productions, was pastel-themed and a world all its own. Guests could visit Lulu’s Cupcakes or stop by Lulu’s Candy Shoppe. Lulu chocolate bars and swirly lollipops were everywhere and even Olivia’s candle lighting ceremony featured jellybeans instead of traditional candles. And, the highlight of the night? Although it wasn’t candy themed, the mechanical bull was a huge hit!
Take a look at a glimpse of Olivia’s Mitzvah day in the video piece below. We also wanted to share a collection of colorful images from the event and from Olivia’s shoot at the studio before her Mitzvah below. Enjoy!
