Fashion-Themed Bat Mitzvah with Unique Elements at The Harmonie Club

Julia struck a pose in the mirror in her dress before her Bat Mitzvah celebration at The Harmonie Club earlier this year. Thanks to party planner Ali Barone of Ali Barone Events, this party went off without a hitch. The hanging pearl candelabra centerpieces with shoes and purses as accents, designed by Carolyn Dempsey Design, were an elegant and classy way to bring a beauty and fashion theme together. The candy heart candle lighting was super unique and so was the hula hoop contest, organized by DJ Oscar of Hal Prince Music. Mazel Tov!

DB Sports Mitzvah Bash at Apella at Alexandria Center

The first big snowfall of the year didn’t stop this family from celebrating Daniel’s Bar Mitzvah. The weekend began at a photo shoot with Sarah at Temple Shaaray Tefila uptown. Apella at the Alexandria Center on the East River is a great party space from its sleek and modern bar area to the swings hanging from the ceiling for guests to sit on! DB Sports was the theme of the night with tennis, football, hockey and basketball table centerpieces designed by Frank of House of Flowers. More than Music kept the party moving on the dance floor. Congratulations!

A STAR IS BORN AT THIS LONG ISLAND BAT MITZVAH

Our featured Bat Mitzvah girl this Mitzvah Monday looked beautiful in a cap sleeve white dress at her Havdallah service as she become a Bat Mitzvah at Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation. The party continued with a wardrobe change into another white dress, but this time a tiered strapless gown! What a star! We loved this beautiful escort card table idea, designed by Metro Florist, with candles and orchids visible through a lucite box. Just gorgeous! #mitzvahmonday

The Mitzvah Olympic Games at Swan Club- Long Island

Water Polo. Sailing. Archery. Diving. And more! This Bar Mitzvah boy combined his love for sports and the Olympics into a Mitzvah theme. It was special for us to be a part of Jason’s Bar Mitzvah after photographing his parent’s wedding 15 years ago! The day began with photos at North Country Reform Temple in Glen Cove followed by a beautiful service. Friends and family then gathered at Swan Club in Roslyn to celebrate and party, which was a blast. We loved the use of the bright blues and greens in the room décor! We also loved Jason’s fabulous bow tie. What a fun Mitzvah look!

It’s 2017: Let’s Party!

Let’s start 2017 with a great post from Ben’s Mitzvah at Slate. About 225 of Ben’s closest family and friends celebrated with billiards and dancing at Slate Nightclub. Guests also got a chance to pose in the photo booth and everyone got a personalized airbrushed favor to take home along with some Twizzlers, Skittles and Tootsie Rolls from Ben’s Candy bar. Always so great to see MC Robby from Total Entertainment!

Purple Mitzvah Bash at ABC Kitchen and the W Hotel

This week’s Mitzvah Monday features a Mitzvah girl who is special to us. The celebration began at Temple Or Olam in Manhattan. A celebration with family and close friends was held at ABC Kitchen. We loved the awesome purple and silver polka-dotted Mitzvah cake this family served their guests! The party continued at the W Hotel, with all the purple décor and lighting designed by Nancy of Shimmer Events. MC Jesse from Untouchable Events got friends and family moving on the dance floor and on the purple light up stages! #mitzvahmonday

Harlem Stage Presents: A Bat Mitzvah Bash!

Our Mitzvah Monday this week features a very talented Bat Mitzvah girl who is a singer and performer! We photographed her older brother’s Bar Mitzvah and now it’s her turn. The Mitzvah weekend began at The Jewish Center on the Upper West Side and continued at the iconic Harlem Stage, a performing arts center in West Harlem. Guests gathered for a Havdalah service and when our Bat Mitzvah girl lit the Havdalah candle, guests raised their glow sticks! A party that included a Hamilton sing-along with her theater group and a choreographed dance with Dad made the night special. It was great working again with Unique Musique and Lisa Jaffe of Jaffe Events. Taylor Creative provided the furniture rentals and Above & Beyond provided the catering. #mitzvahmonday

Ben’s Camp-Themed Fall Bar Mitzvah Bash

Bug Juice. Lanterns. A Fireplace. Picnic Tables with Red and White Checked Tablecloths. Birch Wood. Remind you of summer camp at all? Ben’s love of camp inspired his fall Bar Mitzvah theme and décor. Marni of MDC Event Group brought the theme to life, bringing all those things that remind us of camp to Alpine Country Club for Ben’s Bar Mitzvah celebration. Scott from Pure Energy Entertainment entertained all of Ben’s friends and family on the dance floor, but the highlight of the night is when Scott’s mom Stacey sang to her son. Mazel Tov to all!

Fallon’s Gold-Glam Mitzvah at Edison Ballroom

This Mitzvah Monday we are going to Times Square with Fallon. Edison Ballroom was the home to both Fallon’s Mitzvah Havdalah service and party! Our photographers John and Chris and videographer Alex met up with Fallon and her family for some group photos before reciting her Torah and Haftorah portion and becoming a Bat Mitzvah. We love Havdalah services as sweet spices are incorporated into the ceremony and it symbolizes the end of Shabbat. The party continued with Fallon and her friends hanging out at the gold glam station. We loved the unique décor scheme, featuring black and gold striped tablecloths, gold leaves and vases and deep purple orchids, all designed by Rebecca Shepherd Floral Design. Unique Musique got everyone on the dance floor partying with Fallon. Lisa Jaffe of Jaffe Events was the brains behind the whole event, coordinating all the details large and small.
